Changing the Animation Speed Within Tableau

Overview

Have you ever disliked the way animations in Tableau instantly changes the view, almost jump-scaring the person looking at your viz? Well, you can adjust the speed that these animations happen at, as well as well as the style of them.

Below is an example of a sheet with a slower animation speed, its nice right?

Solution

In order to change it, simply go to the format tab located in the top pane of Tableau Desktop:

Then select animations:

And finally, this window will open on the left hand side of your screen:

From here you can change multiple things, including the duration of the animation, the style, as well as which sheets are affected.
