The liquor industry is a fascinating sector to explore, especially when it comes to understanding consumer behavior and market dynamics. Recently, I've been diving into a dataset that provides a detailed look at the spirits purchase information of Iowa Class "E" liquor licensees. This dataset, which spans from January 1, 2012, to the present, offers a unique opportunity to analyze total spirits sales in Iowa at the individual product and store levels.
I decided to primarily investigate one field: Volume of Liquor sold in gallons. I thought it would be interesting to compare this to size of an olympic size pool--roughly 500,000 gallons.
I mocked up a dashboard that looked like this, focusing on charts that would show volume well.
