If you have ever saved a macro file in alteryx with an incorrect or unclear name, it can make the use of this macro confusing for future use. To change the name of the macro click on the canvas and go to the configuration pane in the 'meta info' tab.
Here you will see the option to change the name of your macro under 'custom'. It can be useful to occasionally give the macro a description when you are sharing the file with users who are unfamiliar with this macro. Now when you are inserting a macro it will update the name and make it more user friendly :)
You can also change the icon of the macro tool by going to the view tab and 'interface designer'.
You can now click on the specific icon you want to help identify your macro. You can even create your own custom icon !
