Alteryx has two pivoting tools: transpose and cross tab. Here is a quick guide on how to use them.
Transpose Tool
The transpose tool allows you to pivot the orientation of data in a table by moving horizontal data onto a vertical axis (converting columns into rows). To configure this tool we need to choose our key columns (the columns we don't want to pivot) and our data columns (the columns we do want to pivot).
Cross Tab Tool
The cross tab tool allows you to pivot the orientation of the data in a table by moving vertical data onto a horizontal axis by summarising selected data (converting rows to columns). To configure this tool we need to choose 'Group data by these values' which are the rows we don't want pivot, 'columns headers' which will be the measures we want to pivot and 'Values', the data we want to go under our header.
