Dynamic Titles

Here’s a quick tip on adding dynamic fields to your titles. This example is based on a name filter for different gymnasts. By double-clicking on the title to open the editing window, you can then use the ‘Insert’ option in the top right-hand corner to add dynamic fields to the title. Simple.

This example is using a data set that I’ve been putting together and playing with over the past week – basically since we had Alteryx 101 training, and I’ve had the means to clean up the data set well enough to make use of it! I’m currently on V.3 of my Alteryx workflow, so keep an eye out for that in a future blog post. The data set is based on the results from the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships that happened from October 2nd to 8th in Montreal. So far I’ve only got the results for the Men’s All-Around competition ready to use, but I’m hoping to expand to the Women’s All-Around and the individual apparatus finals for both genders once I can find the time.
