Mary-Leena has a background in Theoretical Physics and completed her PhD in 2021. During her doctoral research she did a lot of computations and simulations of atomic systems through which she developed her interest for data analysis. Making sense out of numbers and data then became a passion, so she decided to join the Data School.
Since joining The Data School, she has obtained the Alteryx Designer Core and the Tableau Desktop Certified Data Analyst Certificate. During her first placement with an energy provider she contributed in developing and improving Tableau dashboards for the Sales and Marketing team. She also used Alteryx extensively to create workflows for data preparation.
Outside of work, Mary-Leena enjoys travelling, singing, swimming and board games.
