Martin Regan

Martin joined The Data School after a diverse career spanning education and graphic design, where he developed a passion for using data, coding, and design to solve complex problems.

His journey into analytics began while studying Python alongside teaching English at a multi-branch school in Taiwan. He built Python tools that enabled educators and staff to analyse and track student performance, from individual students to comparisons across school branches. The tool was adopted school wide and delivered actionable insights that improved student outcomes across multiple areas of learning.

Outside of work, Martin enjoys baseball data analytics and writes code to play his own version of “Moneyball,” applying his insights to his fantasy baseball team. He is also a passionate fan of the sport, particularly Taiwanese baseball. His other interests revolve around music, including collecting vinyl records and synthesisers.
