Marcus Rocco

Marcus Rocco is a Data Analytics Consultant and member of DSNY13 at The Information Lab US.

He focuses on transforming complex data into clear, decision-ready insights. His work spans the analytics lifecycle, from defining project requirements and preparing data to developing effective visualizations and communicating actionable findings to stakeholders.

Marcus holds an M.S. in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence from Stevens Institute of Technology, where he focused on data analytics, business intelligence, and applied AI. For his graduate capstone project, he led a five-person team in developing an AI-powered product recommendation system for a luxury fashion retailer. The team cleaned, standardized, and structured a real-world catalog of approximately 27,500 products, designed the supporting AI workflow, and developed a multifactor ranking system aligned with stakeholder objectives. The project was later featured by the Stevens School of Business.

Before graduate school, Marcus earned a B.S. in Management Information Systems with a minor in Financial Management from Clemson University. During his time at Clemson, he spent two years as a Student IT Support Center Consultant, where he developed his ability to translate technical challenges into clear, practical solutions for nontechnical users.

Outside of work, Marcus enjoys watching sports, exercising, going to the movies, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
