Louis comes from an IT consultancy background, where his primary focus was helping the finance team solve complex challenges for clients in the renewable energy sector.
Wanting to broaden his knowledge of analytics by learning new softwares and skills, he joined The Information Lab. Since then, Louis has developed the essential skills to become a successful consultant. He has gained invaluable experience across Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, and dbt - undertaking projects in various forms:
Project manager with a professional football club operating in the EFL League One, running a team that focused on recruitment by analysing player statistics in Tableau.
Designing and building a revamped business layer in dbt for a major telecommunications company.
Enabling employees of a major telecommunications company by teaching Tableau and relevant data theory - also tracking this enablement via a suite of dashboards in Tableau.
Data engineering with Alteryx & Snowflake for a client within the education industry, producing four separate workflows and a snowflake schema.
Tableau & PowerBI visualisation for clients within the English Premier League and professional snowsports, specifically looking at athlete performance and benchmarking against their past.
Louis' main hobbies include playing football and participating in snow sports, controversially being both an avid skier and snowboarder!
