Laura Brylka

Hi, I’m Laura – a biomedical researcher turned data analyst consultant. With a doctorate in molecular biology from the RWTH Aachen University, and postdoctoral research experience at the University Hospital in Hamburg, I worked on multiple complex biomedical research projects. All this has shaped my analytical mindset and the ability to quickly grasp new complex information. Here I also discovered my passion for turning data into compelling visualizations to communicate meaningful insights.

I have broadened my knowledge and skillset in a Data Science Bootcamp, where I used Python and machine learning to uncover correlations, patterns and insights also in real-world datasets. Here I also learned how much I value working in a team of people with diverse backgrounds. This not only leads to more creative and innovative ideas, but it is also generally more enjoyable. All this has inspired me to transition into the fields of data analytics and data science.

In my free time, you will find me exploring new restaurants with friends, working out at the gym or singing in a choir.
