Janina Grauel

Janina’s background connects data analytics, design, and mentorship. Her career path has not been a straight line. After studying fashion design, she spent 15 years in the international fashion industry managing global operations and sustainability initiatives. Working with large-scale operations showed her how much data shapes decisions, which eventually inspired her to retrain in data science.

Most recently, Janina worked as an instructor at a coding bootcamp in Berlin, teaching topics from Python and SQL to Machine Learning. For her, teaching is about making complex topics understandable and supporting people in their own learning journeys. Today, she combines an analyst's perspective with a designer's eye to turn datasets into clear, meaningful visual stories.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring the field of data journalism and learning D3.js. You can also find her completely offline, anchoring on a lake with her 104-year-old boat, 'Martha'.
