Hannah joined The Data School from the Public Health sector, which included the NHS and Public Health England. Her degree in Biology from the University of Bath first ignited her passion for data; she caught the data bug during her final-year bioinformatics project, investigating a bacterium with over 3600 genes.
In Hannah’s most recent engagement, she partnered with a leading telecommunications company to decommission business-critical dashboards for one of their key contact-centre providers. She took full ownership of this provider's transition, and beyond delivering technical excellence in the decommissioning process, Hannah prioritised stakeholder development by conducting Tableau demos and hosting weekly drop-in sessions to upskill the team. The provider shared glowing feedback: "Hannah’s expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication have made a lasting impression. We are incredibly grateful for her guidance and are excited to continue leveraging Tableau to enhance our operations."
Working alongside three colleagues at TIL, Hannah helped steer the project from “red” (at risk) to “green” (delivered), where ‘at-risk’ meant: information not available, facing fines, renewing software that was due to be switched-off (about 700 licenses within this team). By delivering this output in just 7 weeks, they saved the company substantial time, money, and reputational risk.
In Hannah’s previous client project (P1), she collaborated with one of the ‘big four’ accounting firms and was part of a team that digitally upskilled over 850 staff over 6 months. The training enabled participants to make digital change within the business. During this time, Hannah
Took on a project to create and automate an Alteryx workflow and PBI report for a particular line of service, which saved them half a day’s work every month.
Supported the Alteryx community, creating an Alteryx challenge which was shared across the business.
Hosted Lunch & Learn style event, to 30+ people
Contributed to a community-wide Alteryx tips and tricks page, posting weekly short-cuts, how-to's and Alteryx guidance
Hannah is also a co-host of the Data+Women London User Group; a platform to promote women’s voices in the data community. Her input includes initiating a new format called ‘Data Dives’- creating a more inclusive platform for people to speak at a public event and share their expertise. She’d be keen to talk to you all about it.
Outside of work, Hannah is a big fan of team sports, having played netball and football for her county, as well as football for Gillingham Ladies FC. Travelling is another passion. To date, Tanzania and Costa Rica have been her favourite.
A smiley, approachable person, with continued experience in collaborative projects, Hannah can communicate with clients, and learn about their specific needs, to maximise the power of her analysis.
