George studied BSc Business Economics at the University of Exeter, where he developed strong analytical skills.
After graduating, he travelled through Southeast Asia and Australia, eventually settling in Sydney for a year. During this time, he worked in wine and renewable energy sales, sharpening his communication skills and developing the ability to build strong client relationships in consulting.
George’s interest in data and analysis is closely linked to his passion for sport. A lifelong football fan and avid reader of BBC Sport and The Athletic, he has long been fascinated by football analytics and performance data. However, much of his time is spent analysing the character-building statistics of Aston Villa.
More recently for George, living in Cornwall and Australia the last few years has sparked an obsession with data behind surf forecasts. This includes how different weather and swell patterns shape the way waves break along our coastlines. He is often seen checking forecasting apps for updates.
Outside of work, George enjoys football, surfing, running and yoga.
