Francesca Plaskett

Francesca graduated from the University of Oxford in 2023 with a first class BA in Experimental Psychology and an understanding that although her degree taught her many valuable skills, a career in psychology was not something that she wished to pursue. Whilst she determined where her passion lay in the professional world, she worked at a school supporting the pastoral needs of the students in her boarding house, planning and leading activities on their weekend programme and contributing to various aspects of school life.

As someone with an unashamed love of numbers, Francesca was drawn to roles with a strong data focus and the opportunity to grow her knowledge on the subject appealed to her greatly. Her ever curious nature meant problem solving and analytics was also a natural segue. Something that came as a little more surprise to her through her work at school was her enjoyment of working with people as well. Thus, the opportunity at The Data School combining all of these passions was one she grasped with both hands.

In her spare time, Francesca is a puzzler. She loves doing a sudoku, crossword (perhaps less successfully!) or getting stuck into any of the games that The New York Times Games subscription offers. She also enjoys baking and reaping the rewards of those efforts (read: eating plenty of cake), reading and sightseeing abroad as a true tourist!
