Elizabeth graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Psychology, and this is where her interest in data analytics began. Throughout the course she enjoyed running statistical tests in SPSS and Jamovi. This led her to conduct a secondary data analysis for her dissertation. In this she analysed big data using R Studio, investigating the link between biomarkers and Alzheimer's.
She first discovered Tableau through the application process for The Data School and was fascinated with how easy and intuitive it was to get instant insights into data with easy drag and drop interface. She enjoyed experimenting with multiple chart types and dashboard structure to create visualisations. As such, she is looking forward to learning about more complex calculations and parameters. She is also excited to deepen her understanding of the backend aspects of data usage; learning how to prepare data in Tableau Prep and Alteryx.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys open water swimming, playing piano, as well as sewing and crocheting.
