Diaraye holds an Integrated Master's (MChem) degree in Chemistry, where she developed a keen interest in coding using the Linux command line to explore chemical reactions. During her time at university, she found great interest in utilising data-driven approaches to study various chemical phenomena.
Following her graduation, Diaraye embarked on an internship at heppSY, where she served as a Data and Evaluation intern. This experience proved transformative as she was introduced to Tableau, sparking her passion for data visualisation. Motivated by this newfound interest, Diaraye dedicated herself to further enhancing her skills by joining The Data School.
Key Achievements:
- Designed a comprehensive dashboard template for analysing stakeholders' attitudes on diversity and inclusion, streamlining dashboard creation from two weeks to one day.
- Developed impactful dashboards showcasing school performance in relation to provincial and national averages, influencing government policies in the education sector.
- Assisted a culture and heritage charity in better understanding their audience and identifying strategic areas of growth through a visualisation highlighting areas of high demand, enabling more informed decision-making processes.
