Dan is a driven data consultant with experience across several industries including finance, web analytics, marketing, sports and the public sector. Prior to joining The Data School, he completed a Master’s in Data Science at the University of Sheffield, where he became familiar with manipulating data using SQL and PySpark.
Whilst working with clients, some of Dan's highlights include:
A 3 month machine learning project helping to advise and refine player recruitment at a leading football club.
Maintaining and optimising a collection of over 15 Alteryx workflows that process > 20,000,000 rows daily.
Project managed a team to build three Power BI reports for a national cricket board.
Consulted and advised a client in the public sector to help optimise their data strategy.
Led a training session on Tableau for non-data professionals.
In his spare time Dan loves to travel and took the opportunity to study abroad for a year in Australia. He is also a big sports fan and enjoys both playing and watching sports, in particular football and tennis.
