Aileen Pfleiderer

My enthusiasm for data guided me to progress from IP paralegal to Bachelor of Law's degree and finally to a Master of Science degree.

Now, as a data analyst trained in Python and R, I am used to extract insights from complex data sets. My passion for storytelling, color coding and presentation was honed throughout my academic journey.

During my long work experience as an IP Paralegal in Intellectual Property Law Firms, I managed data and deadlines while being a supportive factor in trademark, patent, and design searches for clients. This experience sharpened my data management skills and fostered effective communication with clients and patent offices.

Building on this foundation, I pursued a Bachelor of Laws degree, where I delved into analytical observation, data collection, and process recording, drafting designs of SOPs for clinical studies.

In my Master of Science program, I conducted surveys and applied statistical analysis techniques gaining actionable insights, further fueling my passion for data-driven decision-making.

Masterthesis

Symbolic and instrumental attributes of employer attractivenes of law firms in comparison to all other companies

For my master's thesis, I explored the employer attractiveness of law firms in comparison to other companies. I designed and published my own survey, and finally analyzed my results learning and using the programming language R. The core of my research was the creation of a structural equation model to determine the extent to which symbolic attributes of attractiveness influence more than instrumental ones. Additionally, I examined whether there are significant differences between law firms and other companies in this context. The findings highlighted key distinctions and provided insights into the varying factors that contribute to employer attractiveness in different sectors, especially in law firms
