Project Management Part 3 (Finale)

Part 1 , Part 2

Day 4)

The time to present our dashboards to the clients had arrived and with it came a new problem.

A key member of our team Nathan better known as DataNath was unavailable for the presentations and so I chose to fill in to present his work. Fortunately DataNath not only completed his work early but also created a user guide for myself and the clients, truly living up to his nickname.

We had the morning to complete our work before we would watch DS30's presentation at 1:30 and then perform our own. The whole team had their dashboards completed and were ready for our practise presentation at 11:00. A big thank you to Robbin and Brandon who took the time to review our work and presentation skills before the main event. Many of the issues highlighted to the team were regarding the inconsistency in design between dashboards including the infamous info icon. Fortunately, this was an easy fix between the practise and presentation.

Once the had clients arrived and settled, it was time to present and although I may be biased I believed it went smoothly. Every member of the team spoke with confidence which I believe was attributed to their own confidence in their work. It's easy to talk when you know what you're talking about. Everyone provided insights as well as problems/recommendations found within the clients data. Most importantly the clients were extremely happy. Compared to their previous dashboards it was a huge improvement and ours would be used instead, this was lovely to hear.

The day ended with good feedback from our Data School coaches. All credit for this weeks project goes to the team for their consistent hard work, unwavering belief in themselves and each other. With another successful project completed that made 4/4 happy clients for DS29, proving our status as the best cohort to enter the Data School.
