Project Management Part 2

Part 1

Day 2)

Disaster struck. Not for the project but me. Unfortunately for day 2 of our client project I was ill and bedridden and contributed little to nothing. Fortunately  this day consisted mostly of training, with only two hours of project time at the end of the day from 3pm to 5pm.

Our clients also answered our list of questions from day 1, as well as joined our project group on convo to answer more questions in real time. This standard of communication is something we as a cohort had not experienced before and I believe the speed of which we progressed through our tasks was a result of this. Was this lucky? Yes, but after watching my how my cohort have struggled working with uncooperative clients in previous weeks I felt it was deserved.

Day 3)

On day 3 I returned to the office to find my team already onto their final dashboards which was a pleasant surprise. There were still a few individual charts and calculations which hadn't be cracked, however as a whole we were on the right track.

Again, our day was split up by training with Alteryx spatial training in the morning, with project time in the afternoon. Our afternoon consisted of completing our dashboards, formatting and cross-checking our designs. By the end of the day a few members of the team were worried about finishing our dashboards in time as we only had the morning of day 4 left. However, It was clear to me this was not the case as this we were in a considerably better position in our final day before the presentation in comparison to previous projects. Now we all had to do was to present our findings tomorrow and we could enjoy our Easter holiday.
