Another day of API Web scraping for dashboard week.  Today was an interesting day because the API was on Breaking Bad. The task was to web scrape, prep, and visualize it. There was a lot more freedom in today's task but there was some complexity in it as well. Prepping the data and configuring it in the way we want was unusual. The reason being was that some of the tables didn’t have the same value to join the table on. This causes some inaccuracy in the data. Today I learned about a new tool that I found out about in Alteryx. In Alteryx there is a tool called blob output. What that tool does is that it can take URL and download images and export it to a folder for you. This way you can do a batch image download. My main goal for my dashboard was to focus on how long a character survived. How many episodes and seasons did they appear in? Additionally, I have a table to give more detail about the character bio. It was a challenging day but rewarding day. It does also give me some insight into what happened in Breaking Bad. Despite having watched the show I found out some new things about it. It was a shot to go deep into Api and unlocked the puzzle in it.
