Lisa Hitch

Lisa is a Data Analytics Consultant at The Information Lab with a strong background in public health and sciences. She specialized in Alteryx and Tableau, but brings skills from a variety of other statistical and coding software such as R, SAS, SPSS, and Python. Lisa is also currently completing her PhD in Community Health at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health with a focus on leveraging dashboards in public health policymaking.

Lisa loves to look at data from all different angles to find business insights that are not only meaningful, but can be translated into concrete recommendations. Lisa’s data philosophy focuses on empowering users to engage with data themselves. As such, creating interactive and visually appealing dashboards and teaching data literacy and data analysis/visualization skills are an important aspect of Lisa's work.

She also shared this passion for teaching by working as an Adjunct Lecturer for Applied Biostatistics I at the graduate level. Breaking down complex concepts and making them easy to understand is her strength.

Before pivoting to data consultancy, Lisa was a researcher in urban and migrant health. She completed her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences in Munich, Germany, before moving to New York City for her Master’s in Public Health.

In her leisure time, Lisa likes to travel, cycle, play Tennis and Squash, and find the best cup of coffee in NYC.
